The Sherbrooke Phoenix and Gatineau Olympiques made a trade on Monday.

The Phoenix traded 18-year-old defenseman Michael Abbott to the Olympiques for a 4th round pick at the 2015 Quebec Major Junior Hockey League Entry Draft.

Abbott was picked up by the Sherbrooke club during the expansion draft in June.

In 46 games with the Prince Edward Island Rocket last season, the native of St. John's NL, recorded eight points including one goal and seven assists along with a -12 rating and 10 penalty minutes.
