Sabres Sign Grigorenko To Three-Year Entry Level Contract
Buffalo Sabres General Manager Darcy Regier announced on Wednesday that the club has signed Quebec Remparts center Mikhail Grigorenko to a three-year entry level contract.
The 6'3, 200 pound native of Khabarovsk, Russia was drafted by the Sabres with the 12th overall pick at the 2012 National Hockey League Entry Draft. Grigorenko is Buffalo's highest forward selection since the team drafted Thomas Vanek with the fifth overall pick at the 2003 National Hockey League Entry Draft.
In 59 games last season with Patrick Roy's Remparts, Grigorenko recorded 85 points including 40 goals and 45 assists along with a +35 rating and 12 penalty minutes.
