Saint John Sea Dogs center Maxime Villemaire has signed a contract with the Phoenix Coyotes.
The 20 year-old who is eligible to play pro this season will most likely play for the American Hockey League’s Portland Pirates or the East Coast Hockey League’s Gwinnett Gladiators.
The Lasalle, Que, native was traded to the Sea Dogs during the leagues winter trade period. In 16 games with the Port City club the 6-2, 219 pound forward recorded 11 points (8 goals, 3 assists) along with a -1 rating and 43 penalty minutes.
