Former Bathurst Titan and currently Boston Bruins center Patrice Bergeron was awarded the Frank J. Selke Trophy as the National Hockey League's  best defensive forward for the 2011-12 season during the league's awards night on Wednesday in Las Vegas.

In 74 career games with the Titan, the native of Ancienne-Lorette, Que, recorded 23 goals and 51 assists for 74 points.

The 6-1, 190 pounder last season with the Bruins had 64 points including 22 goals and 42 assists in 81 games.
