Former 'Q' Players Win Stanley Cup With Kings
Two former Quebec Major Junior Hockey League players won the Stanley Cup with the Los Angeles Kings.
Simon Gagne (Beauport and Quebec) and Jonathan Bernier (Lewiston) were both members of the LA Kings team that claimed their first Stanley Cup Championship with a 6-1 victory over the New Jersey Devils to win their best-of-seven Stanley Cup Final series four games to two.
Dustin Brown and Trevor Lewis both had a pair of goals in the game for the Kings while Jeff Carter and Matt Greene added single markers in the win. Adam Henrique had the Devils lone goal.
Jonathan Quick made 17 saves in the win for LA while Martin Brodeur turned aside 19 of 24 shots in the loss for the Devils.
